My Vision as a Teacher
Teaching is an exciting thing to be a part of. Every year, you get a new batch of students, each with different experiences and different perspectives on literature, writing, and life. Each group of students will lead me to a different learning experience. These students will determine the outcome to where I will lead them and they will lead me. I do know one thing. I plan on going, alongside my students, towards success.
Vision
I want to be a teacher who is receptive to student input but pushes students to think beyond their normal mindset and be able to think critically about situations that they can translate into their every day lives.
I plan on accomplishing this by:
+ Modeling what a discussion looks like and how to engage in meaningful dialogue
+ I will make the classroom a safe space
+ I will show personal moments of learning
+ I will affirm students after they have been challenged.
+ I will set the example of learning being "ever-growing."
+ I will encourage students to look at how the lessons we are learning together influences their lives.
