About Me
I was born and raised in Hartford, CT. I lived in Connecticut for sixteen years of my life, so I was raised a northerner. Both of my parents decided that they wanted to move to North Carolina because they hated the cold weather and wanted to go about some sort of change. When I was sixteen, my family decided they wanted to move to Charlotte, NC. I graduated from Garinger High School in Charlotte, NC (Go Wildcats!). I am an alumni from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a B.A in English Education and I am currently pursuing my M.A in English Education at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
I live my life through seven core values which I find extremely important.
Loyalty. I live my life as a loyal person constantly. I strive to be the best person I can be and always make sure that I am one of the most reliable people anyone can meet.
Duty. I have a sense of responsibility towards anything I do. I work hard and accomplish everything I need to accomplish.
Respect. I respect anyone I encounter, regardless of age, class, race, sexual orientation, religion, and any other forms of diversity. I learn to appreciate these differences in my community and my students.
Service. I always aim to help people in every way I can. I would claim myself as a faithful steward and a great resource.
Honor. I have honor in everything I do and exemplify a sense of pride in all that I can. Through honor comes passion and responsibility for my life.
Integrity. I constantly aim to do the right things at all times, even when people are not watching. It is important to do good by everyone.
Personal Courage. I am a person who takes risks and tries out different things. I encourage personal courage from everyone I surround myself, whether it comes to trying new things, expressing their feelings, etc.
These values are significant to my life and I feel like they make me the best person, educator, or friend I can be.
